I don't like small towns, or villages, but I don't like very big cities too, so, basically, my town is perfect for me. I live in a medium-sized city in northern Serbia. The name of my hometown is Novi Sad, and the size of it is about the size of Bronx. My city has a lot of different nicknames and elder names like ''Serbian Athens'', ''Ujvidek'' or ''Neoplanta''... Novi Sad is the second largest city in Serbia, after the Serbian capital, Belgrade.

My city has a lot of famous landmarks, and the most famous one is The Petrovaradin Fortress and The Clock Tower on it. On the fortress is every year held a Exit Festival, one of the most famous music festivals in the world. Every year, Exit is visited by a lot of famous people, like Prodigy and Billy Idol, and this year, the Guns 'N' Roses will come, and I will probably go to see them perform.

Petrovaradin Fortress was built in 17th and 18th century. Foundation stone was laid by Charles Eugene de Croy, a Belgian duke. Now, the fortress is open for visitors and tourists, and the entrance is free. Novi Sad hasn't got much building that are taller than 200ft (60m), but I don't care because smaller buildings are better.

Novi Sad has several parts. Liman 1, 2, 3 and 4, Grbavica, Novo Naselje, Telep are just some of the much parts. Novi Sad has a public beach, Strand, where visitors can bathe in Dunav, the second-largest river in Europe, play volleyball in the sand, or do whatever they want to do, for a little amount of money.
My personal opinion is that Novi Sad is better than most of the big cities, because is isn't too small, but it isn't too big neither. It has admissible number of landmarks, but it isn't overcrowded with them, and last, but not least, it isn't too modern, like Dubai, but it isn't too old-fashioned.
